Blueprint

Your Brand is the master plan of your customers experience. Visualise the experience that you choose for your customers, write it down and share it through-out the entire company. Communicating your company Blueprint is essential to the the protection of your company brand.

Your employees are an integral part of your customers experience and if they do not fully understand the brand values of your company the likelihood is it will not translate into the service or relations given to your customer. If you are not consistent with your promises you instantly damage your reputation.

Relationships

Your Brand is the thoughts, feelings and psychological relationships between a business and its customers. Your Brand determines the emotional connection that your customers have with your product or services. Added value frequently comes in the form of perceived quality or emotional attachment. It's important to not just THINK about what your customers THINK - KNOW what they THINK about you and deliver to their expectations.

Agreement

Your Brand is the promise you make to your customers. Customers will not return or recommend you to others if you do not deliver what you say you will. A brand is so much more than just making a promise you have to deliver it too.

It's great if you have a strong company logo and strap-line to define your business however if you do not see this through-out every inch of your business then any marketing spend will have been done in vain. It's way too risky to put your brand out there in todays technologically advanced society where any negative experiences can be seen and shared by the world within minutes.

Nature

YOUR Brand is the inherent nature of your business. Simply its the representation of your company's DNA. Your brand derives from who you are and why you do what you do!! You can't be all things to all people. A clear and simple brand message can tell people exactly where you place yourself in the market and therefore how you intend to add value to their lives.

Distinction

Standing out from the crowd. Your brand can give you competitive advantage setting you a part from other businesses within your chosen market.  Your logo alone will not set you a part from your competitors. When your entire business reflects your brand values you will gain distinction within a competitive market place. A logo alone will not achieve this, it is a visual representation for your brand however we now know that you have to deliver the brand values to your customers and you do this from having a brand strategy embedded within the everyday activity of your organisation.

Branding is the difference! In this image above for example, you see three apples. On the surface they all look the same, so if you are selling the apple in the middle, what could you do to make me pick it? If you were to tell me the middle apple was infact a Granny Smith apple, then I would instantly be able to distinguish the difference between this apple in comparison to the others. This is what branding is all about. Branding is the common thread that holds your business together and instantly distinguishes you from the competition. Here are the different elements to consider when developing your brand;
